Restore Program and Data Files From Previous Backup
There are two methods that can be used to restore your system if this should become necessary.
Method One From within Computerize Your Assets, navigate to and click on the "Restore From Backup" menu selection. The restore screen will require you to locate and select the file you wish to restore to your system. Clicking on the small button circled in the example below will launch a screen similar to the one used to name the backup file. The difference being, all you need to do is locate the file you wish to restore.
Notice in our example above we have selected the file from our "Backups","06_01_05" folder. Once you select the file to restore, click on the "Open" button to begin the process. Similar to the backup progress, the restore progress will be displayed in the progress window.
Method Two If you do not have a working copy of Computerize Your Assets on the computer you wish to restore to, you will need a tool to "Unzip" the compressed "ZIP" file. If you are using the Windows XP operating system this functionality is built in. If you are using an operating system other than XP, you will need a tool to unzip the file. There are many tools available, however, the most popular is a product called WinZip and you can download a trial version from: http://www.winzip.com/downwzeval.htm
