CYA informs me an update is available but fails to update


In isolated cases we have discovered that CYA will fail to download and install a new update after informing you one is available. To overcome this issue you may need to perform the task manually by:

  1. Download the CYA installer to your desktop
  2. Run CYA and perform a "Full" backup
  3. Locate the the installer icon (cya.exe) on your desktop and double click the icon to execute it
  4. Follow the instructions in the installer being certain that CYA installs into the same folder where the current install located
  5. When the install has completed run CYA and verify it runs correctly and all your data is available
  6. Remove (Delete) the CYA installer (cya.exe) from your desktop
